For UK schools and multi-academy trusts
Operational software built for education, without the per-user tax.
Keystone is a family of products that share one Platform. It starts with KeystoneIT, an IT service desk. You buy one perpetual licence for your whole organisation, with unlimited users. Keystone is being designed for managed and self-hosted deployment.
In development KeystoneIT is in development and has not been released. An evaluation build is in independent engineering review. See what exists today.
- 12 schools selected
- 3 Micro School allowances
- 9 counted schools
KeystoneIT
8–15 school licence
£6,995 + VAT
One-off price for a perpetual licence. Unlimited users and agents.
The product family
One product in development. Honest about the rest.
Every Keystone product runs on the same shared Platform: one identity, one organisation, one audit foundation. The Platform comes with every product. It is never a separate purchase.

KeystoneIT
The IT service desk built for schools and multi-academy trusts.
Evaluation build in independent engineering review.
-
Planned
KeystoneHR
A planned product for a Trust's record of staff employment.
Not designed yet.
-
Planned
Keystone Provision
A planned product for the identity lifecycle of joiners, movers and leavers.
A statement of direction. Not designed in detail.
Independent engineering review is an internal engineering control: each stage is reviewed by someone other than its author before it is accepted. It is not an external audit or a certification.

Licensing
Priced by school. Bought once.
Keystone does not charge per technician, per requester or per ticket. The price depends on one thing: how many schools you have.
- Your perpetual licence does not expire. Keystone does not stop working because maintenance is not renewed.
- One licence covers your whole organisation: a Trust, a federation or a single school, with unlimited users, agents and tickets.
- A paid licence includes 12 months of software maintenance. After that it is optional, at 20% of the perpetual licence value a year.
- Managed or self-hosted. Keystone Managed is planned as a separate service. You can move between the two without buying the software again.
- If your organisation grows into a higher tier, you pay the one-off difference between the current list prices of the two tiers. Nothing is bought twice.
| Counted schools | Perpetual licence |
|---|---|
| 1–3 | £2,995 |
| 4–7 | £4,995 |
| 8–15 | £6,995 |
| 16–30 | £9,995 |
| 31+ | Let’s talk |
Provisional. These prices and rules are provisional until the licence agreement and commercial terms are published. A quote is valid for 30 days.
Micro School, Micro MAT, Micro Group
A small school shouldn’t need an enterprise software budget.
A school standing alone with fewer than 100 pupils pays £0 for the KeystoneIT perpetual licence. So does an academy trust, a federation or another single organisation of up to 3 schools in which every school has fewer than 100. It is the full product, not a cut-down edition.
Software maintenance for a Micro licence is £0 for as long as the organisation still qualifies. Commercial support and Keystone Managed are optional paid services. In a larger organisation, the first 3 schools with fewer than 100 pupils are left out of the counted total, and every further school counts as normal.
KeystoneIT
A service desk that knows what a Trust is.
Staff ask for help in two questions. The IT team works from a queue that follows the schools and teams they belong to. Service targets count time on your opening hours and skip half-term.
Everything in the evaluation build, and everything that is not
Why trust a new supplier
We are new. So we show our working.
No school runs Keystone yet, so there are no customer logos or testimonials here. What we can give you is a plain account of what exists, how it is checked, and what happens to your software and data if you stop paying us.

These figures describe one dated development build. They are not a certification, and tests passing is not the same as software being finished, which is why each stage is also reviewed by someone other than its author before it is accepted.
-
Your software keeps working
Your perpetual licence does not expire. Keystone does not stop working because maintenance is not renewed, and you keep your data.
-
Your data stays yours
Each organisation has its own installation and its own databases. Keystone is not a shared service that every customer logs in to.
-
Status words mean something
Every capability on this site carries one of a few fixed labels, from “Implemented” to “Planned”. Nothing planned is described as shipped.
